Moving On

Enough with this depression bs. It's time to move on.

Lately I've been riding my bike and trying to eat healthier. As usual, I've procrastinated and have always given in to excuses not to exercise as much as I'm supposed to. Maybe I'm just taking it slowly. But what the hey. Life goes on.

Lately, my hobby, rc drifting, has been sparked by my brother by asking my to practice in PNP. You see, he's responsible for introducing me to the hobby. He stopped for a while since he needed to save money for his beetle. Now that the beetle's been done up, he's semi-back. And I've always considered rc drifting as a way of releasing stress and bonding with my bro.

Since we've been semi-off scene, there has so many mutations of a typical rc car. Back then 50/50 drifting was the shi7, now, if you're not counter-steering you're square. CS is now the norm in rc drifting. So many advancements in technology, DIYs, and theories that it feels like we've been left out of so many of them. It's hard enough to play regularly, and now we have to start building a CS kit and learn to run it. I've already converted my Xray kit long before it became POP, but unfortunately broke my rear diff because my universals didn't have plastic clips to match the diffs. So I broke my diff and and had to order a new one from the States which my mom brought home. Since then, I haven't run my CS kit.

Now with a brand spanking new TA05 on 50/50, I'm contemplating on whether or not to CS is. Is CS going to continue? Or is it just going to be a fad? Either way, it's all in the driver.

Fighting for my life

A few days ago I woke up feeling dizzy. A feeling I've never experienced in my entire life. It wasn't a good feeling at all.

My whole life was all about tennis. I've neglected my sport and have shown great disrespect to it by not playing the game anymore.

Tennis has given me more than I've ever wanted in life: travel, respect, acknowledgment, education, great friendships, and of course, a healthy lifestyle. All of this, I have not given any importance; what a shame. I've put my father, name, and health to great shame.

Never again shall I make a fool out of the sport that has given me so much more than I could handle

From this day forth, I vow to live a healthier life one day at a time. To live longer not only for myself and my sport, but also for the people I love.

UAAP Results Jan 8 and 9, 2010

Saturday:

Last Saturday the UAAP Lawn Tennis Tournament commenced. Teams from Ateneo, DLSU, UE, UP, and UST joined in the said tournament which will strech out to the middle part of February.

Since I coach the DLSU, this should revolve around our team and our opponent for the day only. I don't want this blog to sound like a news report so I'll hold on the the nitty gritty.

Both Men's and Women's teams won both thier ties. DLSU-M won against University of the East and DLSU-W won against University of the Philippines. Both men's and women's teams will face ADMU on Saturday (January 15, 2011).

These are just a few pictures of my hobby, RC Drifting. It takes my mind off things temporarily. I know everyone needs a time out once in a while, more often for others.

TA-05 Day 2 Progress

Today my wife is planning to meet up with her workmates and have dinner. They will probably spend a few hours together. While waiting for them to finish, I've brought my TA-05 and will continue working on it probably at a nearby Starbucks.

I'm so excited to finally have time for my new toy. YIPPEEE!!!
